According to a recent study from Southern Cross University in Australia, surfers, swimmers, and stand-up paddlers are six times more likely to develop skin cancer than others. In the study, over 180 surfers, swimmers, and stand-up paddlers were screened, and over 40 percent were identified as having premalignant or malignant skin cancers.
